I want to do God's Holy Will, not my own!

Support us, all our days, by your holy prayers. And when this life is done, may we join you in heaven in the joyful company of Jesus and Mary.
Amen.

Contemplation of Mary’s sorrow reveals the impact of Christ’s sacrifice on people, on us.

Sorrow informs us of what we lack, what is missing. To contemplate sorrow is to contemplate ourselves, our God and our life.

Even in our sorrow God is with us, although our tears may blind us.

Sorrow is as much a gift as joy, it allows us to fully experience the world of God and humanity.

Saint Lucy

Saint Lucy, your beautiful name signifies light. By the light of faith which God bestowed upon you, increase and preserve this light in my soul so that I may avoid evil, be zealous in the performance of good works, and abhor nothing so much as the blindness and the darkness of evil and of sin.

Saint Lucy, you did not hide your light under a basket, but let it shine for the whole world, for all the centuries to see.

Accept the light within.
Let it glow.
Allow others to see your light.

The light within is God’s light and our darkness is God’s darkness too. Even in the dark God is with us.

It is in the darkness we see God’s light and our own.

We should never be ashamed of our own light, or the darkness. We must accept them and allow others to witness, even if we are scared. Fear cannot put out our light, merely obscure it from others, even ourselves. For all that God is always seeing our light and is always with us even as we feel it may dim or gutter in the wing. God will never let our light go out. Only we can obscure it, forget about it, make it not matter and only we can reveal it, let it shine forever and use it to help others lost in the dark.

Even in the dark God is with us.

Even in the light God is with us.

God is with us evermore.
